Coalition for a Better Acre envisioned this 27 unit affordable housing project which provides long term independent housing and services for residents recovering from Substance Use Disorder. CBA’s powerful mission for the project is complemented by their commitment to creating a passive house (PHIUS) design while also blending in to Lowell’s historic city center. The project, designed by ICON architecture, also incorporates a 1700 s.f. commercial laundromat to serve CBA’s many local housing offerings, and a beautiful parklet facing a historic Canal.
